About Department:
The Department of Physical Education of Lalgola College started its journey in 2010 with Pass Course programme with a strength of 30 students. In 2023, the
department started a new journey by starting Major course with a strength of 04 students. This department with its variegated aspects such as play, games and sports has been
equipped with instruments in initiating several activities alongside the curriculum. The only faculty member in the department provides the students are with quality education
and constant guidance. The result of the department shows a developmental curve and students’ holistic growth and development is the solo concern. The department is well equipped
and technically advanced for catering quality education and shaping the future of the students.
Mission & Vision:
BA Program in Physical Education aims to provide the students with learning experiences that help them acquire the knowledge and tools necessary to live a physically
active, intellectually motivated, socially enriched and emotionally and materially a balanced and healthy life. It also imparts a scientific outlook typically necessary for pursuing
a career in Physical Education. The multiple career options open to the learner include careers in sports academy, health clubs and sports goods manufacturing companies. The learner
also has the opportunity to pursue higher studies and opt for a career as a teacher.
