Career Counseling Cell
Lalgola College has a dedicated Career Counselling Cell. In this age of globalisation, the role and activities of the Higher Educational Institutions are going through some major changes. Now a days the role of HEI is not limited to just producing graduates but it has to play a vital role in the development of its human resources so that these resources can contribute to the upliftment of the society and take active part in the nation building process. In today’s world job opportunities as well as career potentials have widened for the youth but due to lack of proper knowledge and guidance students are not able to harness their goals. Keeping these facts in mind, the career counselling cell of Lalgola College came into being in 2018. Having a career counselling cell within a college reinforces the institution's commitment to the holistic development of the students, ensuring that they are well equipped to make informed choices and succeed in their chosen career paths.
Objectives:
- To offer career counselling sessions to help students explore various career options based on their interests, aptitudes and academic strengths.
- To provide information about different academic courses, specialisations and career paths available within and outside the college.
- To organise workshops, seminars and interactive sessions with industry professionals to keep students updated on current market trends and industry expectations.
- To offer skill development programmes and training sessions to enhance the employability of the students and make them industry ready.
- To create platforms for the students to network with alumni, industry experts and professionals through various events.
- To maintain a resource centre with up-to-date information on careers, higher education options, scholarships and competitive examinations.
- To provide psychological support and counselling to address any concern or challenges students may face in their academic or career pursuits.
